The similarities between racism and homophobia made clear.
Think about it – people are ready to suggest lynching as an acceptable activity! Even the Tea Party has refrained from this kind of statement. As sickening as the sign is, it is a visual representation of the belief at the core of anti-gay sentiment: that gay people are not fully human and should stay in “their place,” lest violence be perpetrated against them.
